Marple Township Police Citizens Police Academy


Marple Police are currently accepting applications for its Citizens Police Academy.

The Citizens Police Academy will run for ten weeks beginning September 5, 2017. Classes will run each Tuesday evening for two hours.

Classes will include topics such as the legal system, patrol procedures, criminal investigations, communications, and community policing.

The program is available to those interested who are age 21 or older. Class size will be limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Priority will be given to residents of and business owners in Marple Township. A criminal records check will be required for anyone interested in participating.

Hero Scholarship Fund of Marple Township

43rd Annual Flea Market

The Marple Township Hero Scholarship Fund will hold its annual Flea Market on Sunday, September 17, 2017. The rain date is the following Sunday, September 24, 2017. The Flea Market will be held at the Delaware County Community College, located at Route 252 and Media Line Road, in Marple Township.  The college grounds will be open to registered vendors at 6:00 AM. The Flea Market will be open to the public between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

The Flea Market is the only major fund raiser for the Hero Scholarship Fund of Marple Township. The Hero Scholarship Fund provides for the survivors of Police Officers, Firefighters, and Ambulance Corps personnel killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty. This charity is vital to our community. We need your help. Please join us this year at the Flea Market.
